TEST - PQA Specialist

Role Title:    Programme, Quality and Assurance Specialist - IDPP
Salary:          £39,210  
Location:      London/Hybrid 
Tenure:         FTC – 5 Months.  Feb 2024 to July 2024.

Hours:          35 per week (full time). Applications from people looking for part time hours will also be considered. 

Within our Policy, Advocacy and Programmes department, our International Development Programme Quality and Assurance Specialists work closely with ActionAid colleagues around the world in ensuring that donor-funded programmes are managed effectively and improve the lives of women and girls. 

This role will utilise your existing grant management and donor knowledge to support ActionAid UK People’s Postcode Lottery funded projects across a number of countries and drive ActionAid UK organisational strategy.

As a PQA Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in multiple, international projects and be supported to develop your grant and financial management skills. Working with one of ActionAid UK most strategic partners, you will be at the forefront of driving funding towards innovative work and projects seeking to bring about change through feminist and decolonial approaches, supporting women and girls around the world. We are looking for someone who will bring strong grant management, a broad knowledge of institutional donors, trends and policies, and with proven experience of successfully managing the start-up, implementation and closure of a range of institutional grants and/or contracts. 

To be successful as our Programme Quality and Assurance Specialist, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in managing relationships and negotiations with donors and partners; along with the ability to build a rapport with a range of individuals.

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles.  The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles.  As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and “Company Connection days.”  Some roles may require in-office attendance on all days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office roles.
